The second Region 10 IEEE Computer Society Summer School was hosted in VIT, Vellore, India from 23-27 Sep 2024. This annual program is one of the successful in-person events organized by R10 CS. A total of 36 third and final year students from R10 India Area took part in the event. The 5-day program is divided into 2 sessions; talks/lectures by DVP Speakers are organized in the morning and in the evening the participants are involved in the hands-on session.

The organization of the program was done very well by the host; VIT, Vellore. The participants were very happy with the accommodation, logistics, food, course materials and the hands-on session. On the last day, the students presented mini projects based on what they have learned during the 5-days Summer School. Some of the projects are very interesting such as “Pet tracking and management systems” and “Using biometrics for door access and security applications”.
