IEEE Computer Society Global Chapter Leaders’ Summit

The IEEE Computer Society Global Chapter Leaders’ Summit was held from June 14-15, 2024, in Santa Clara, California. The summit began with a registration and kick-off reception on June 14. The main sessions were held on June 15, starting with an opening and welcome remarks by key speakers, including IEEE CS President Jyotika Athavale.The event brought together key leaders from various regions to discuss strategies for enhancing the initiatives of the IEEE Computer Society.

The highlight of the summit was dedicated panel discussions and presentations by regional coordinators, focusing on themes such as Diversity & Inclusion (D&I), Young Professional (YP) engagement, and the promotion of strategic objectives. Region 10 was represented by the Regional Coordinator Dr. Mohamed Rawidean Mohd Kassim, Dr. Mini Ulanat (Kerala Section), and Dr. Prasant Misra(Bangalore Section), who shared success stories and obstacles from their respective regions.

Throughout the day, representatives from various regions (R1-10) presented their success stories and challenges. This segment fostered a collaborative environment, allowing for the exchange of ideas and best practices. The discussions highlighted effective strategies and
innovative solutions implemented across different chapters.

The summit concluded with a summary of the solutions and a brief closing session. The event successfully facilitated meaningful discussions and the exchange of valuable insights, contributing to the ongoing improvement of IEEE Computer Society initiatives globally.
